The situation looks bleak in Canada as the Governments ignores all scientific warnings and backs fish farmers (Norwegian) and seem hell bent on destroying wild salmon populations and all that means to the eco systems.

Just days after we learned the salmon farming industry got a green-light to expand in BC, Marine Harvest was listed on the New York Stock Exchange, ringing the bell on January 28.  These fish farms are receiving federal licences that allow the company vet to make the decision whether to use smolts infected with viruses.

In my blog, I make an appeal.
