Well temperatures are down to more reasonable levels though water heights are still low in most areas.   Lowest rainfall in England and Wales for over 50 years apparently which comes as no surprise to most of us I am sure and not a great deal in the outlook either apparently.

Not sure if anyone has restarted salmon fishing on the lower river but if they have it seems unlikely we will be told where, how and by whom the fish may be  caught which seems to be the norm on some of the lower beats these days for some strange reason.

Upper river looks likely to remain unfishless for some time to come and even then what state will any fish be in if caught as we move forward to the autumn..

Can anyone see any actions being taken that might improve our salmon prospects in the short or long term by EA. NRW orWUF because quite frankly I can't.   Not an health outlook that's for sure.
