One must admit that angler enthusiasm is really being put to the test at present with still no further report of any catches or rarely a fish seen. No report of kelts being caught, seen or found dead though high water earlier in the season may have washed these away. Can't see a great deal happening on the upper river or beats above Hereford under the present conditions and a decent spate of running water is needed if there any fish to move on from the lower river/estuary.
