Some old picture obtained recently having been found pasted in an old copy of 'The Tale of a Wye Fisherman. This is the first one.

The below Picture is of Brodie Smith from Cardiff who had a company called Sportsmail.
I met him a few times, though looking at the date it may have been his son.  The beat is known as Hay Castle just upstream of Hay on Wye bridge and stretches upstream for a mile or so.
Fishing is now held by a syndicate who may have vacancies if your interested.  However canoes can be a problem like everywhere else on the Wye.   I trust canoes are off the river too at present?
