An Afternoonon the Test   Thanks to Richard Hall.

I had a good evening on the Houghton club water, probably 30 years ago now.
I'd been invited to fish on the Leckford Estate and was on Beat 11, the carrier beat, at the bottom of their water.
In the evening, I wandered off down the main carrier and found a pool on a corner with fishing rising everywhere. I think it was a Caperer I had on, but 45 minutes later I'd got 4 super fish, 2 browns and 2 rainbows between 3 and 5 lbs.
1 fish in the afternoon, so that was my 5 fish limit.
Walked back up to the car................................
My host ...............where'd you get those?
Me........................down at the bottom, below that little bridge.
My host................ but that's the Houghton club water, the bridge is the boundary.
Me.........................oh dear, sorry, nobody saw me.
Best evening's fishing I ever had!
