Still loads of water around.  No fishing for anything really and more rain later in the week.

See below.  At least someone is trying to move things forward and get some action.   Nothing yet from NRW or of course from the WUF bunker but we live in hope

On 6th November Wye Salmon Association [WSA] submitted a full proposal for a River Wye Salmon Action Plan to CEOs & Chairs of NRW and EA and their respective Fisheries Teams. WSA is seeking meetings to detail the very serious issues facing the Wye and explain its proposed bold, urgent and imaginative approach to tackling this emergency on one of England and Wales most iconic and historically productive salmon rivers. After 23 years of restoration projects and 15 years of the current Salmon Action Plan (SAP) catches remain below the crash of 1996 and the Conservation Limit for egg deposition (required by NASCO to be achieved 4 years out of 5) has only been met once in the last 15 years. WSA believe the ‘same old’ must be replaced by a co-ordinated, focussed and results driven process of recovery, involving all stakeholders.
As I write this report (15th Dec) WSA await responses to its proposal. NRW have been tasked by the Welsh Minister, Lesley Griffiths AM, with producing, before the end of 2019, a salmon recovery plan for all Wales. See link: WSA Proposal
