Some intense rain for a while overnight has prompted a rise in levels on the upper river.   Not great as yet but further showers forecast so who knows. River Ithon and Irfon rising, especially the Irfon which is very dirty.  Bound to be pretty dirty everywhere but especially on the middle and lower beats though nort affected too much just yet. Lugg and Monnow both risen too  As to its effect?  We probably won't know for a few days but I wouldn't get too excited personally.
