Overnight rain promised didn't materialise to any extent and river remains low, warm, with algae still on lowest beats.

Seems to have been another significant slurry pollution in the Towy catchment.  NRW on the case -whatever that means.  Lets wait and see if just for once  the polluter sees his way into the courts  where the local magistrate, who just happens to know him quite well, is lobbied to give him a derisory fine.   Just like the poachers on the upper Wye in the past when a certain court never ever convicted a poacher.    As always it,s not always what you know but who you know that counts for most.
