Conditions continue to improve as the river falls and clears  and the coming week should in theory perhaps be the best of the season as all areas become fishable, well to most people anyway. We should  have some indication as to the run of 2sw fish that seemed to be taking place downriver before the spate.  No doubt the mepps will be well to the fore but conditions should improve for the fly especially on upper beats who just might get a fair share of the fish for a while at least.
