Well hard to believe but no fish again reported  yesterday.  Not sure what to say really
but its probably unprecedented as far as I recall.
The only thing that surprises me is that non of the dedicated WUF supporters didn't manufacture at least one to try and save a few blushes.

LATEST   10pound fish from Wyesham to Alan Phillips on fly.  Looks like we are up and running again!

Spey doing better now too;

Saw this on Facebook.   A totally unacceptable incident for which there should be a proper investigation and those concerned prosecuted.  Who has the balls to do it.  Not NRW it seem.  Probably not WAG either.
perhaps the other Guardian of our river environment  WUF will do it.  Won't be holding my breath.

"Drove up to fish a favourite stretch of the River Usk yesterday. Arrived to find fly pouring off and good numbers of fish rising, but my day was absolutely ruined. On the opposite bank there was a convention of customised 4x4 trucks tearing up the forestry plantation, where Hobbys nest. Apparently they were given permission by the farmer from whom we rent that beat. While this was going on their families were enjoying a picnic while their kids trashed our main run and spooked every fish in two canoes. Then all of the 4x4s decided it would be fun to drive through the river, where shad, a critically endangered species, along with salmon, are currently running. Best of all their access route into the river was across a small beach where two days ago I enjoyed watching a pair of sandpipers making a nest. I phoned the NRW hotline, Natural Resources Wales, and while the chap I spoke to was clearly concerned, I later heard back, from the secretary of our club, that they had no officers available to attend, and in any case there was nothing they could do. I need a migratory fish rod licence to fish, without one I am liable to a criminal conviction. Currently canoeing is illegal on the Usk, and I am sure the same goes for driving trucks through it. What is the point of legislation if it is not enforced? This may well be the last year I fish our beautiful rivers."
