Big day yesterday for the river.  Three 2sw fish caught!!!!!!!!!

Ingeston 10lbs to Tom Lane. spinning
Wyesham  10lbs to Andrew Brush.
Glanwye  13lbs on fly to Ben Savage.

Whoops , Nearly forgot the two fish caught by Ricky Reno at Garnons yesterday 10 and 27lb spinning.

The latter is the highest up the river this season. Similar situation last year.  Despite reasonable water salmon seem to be deserting the upper beats once again.  difficult to understand why this should be other than the complete collapse of the very early running fish the Wye was once famous for with often fish up at Newbridge on the old opening day of 26th January.  Had an opening day fish at the Nyth myself at least once.
