River dropping slowly on upper river and peaking just about on downstream areas. Weather forecast all over the place again as overnight and today's reported deluge has not arrived -yet at least but we shall wait and see.
LATEST Rain did arrive -river on the up again.
Some of you may have seen on the Welsh news in articule on the disgraceful and ongoing pollution of our river by Welsh Water and no doubt other water providers too throughout the UK. Many of us have known this for many years and RWGA decades ago were urging EA to stop this -might as well have head butted a brick wall. Instead they licence these releases on an almost weekly basis. 30,000 tines last year according to the link below.
It's an almost unbelievable situation when others are trying to prevent other forms of pollution which seems on the face of this situation to be a total waste of time. Why are they not facing prosecution other than perhaps when they do cause an actual fish kill rather than a gradual deterioration of the water environment. NRW need some teeth -some hope.
