At the moment all looks OK for opening day on the river.   Conditions are good regarding fishing conditions though the upper river is very low.,the rain forecast failed to materialise.  However a major storm with strong winds is forecast for Sunday but should not affect river condition until later in the week -if it happens.though fly casting may well be a problem in unsheltered spots due to reported gale force winds
