Two or three inches of water on the upper river.  Pattern of salmon catches much to same, mostly very coloured fish from the same areas.  Not many though. Not many on the upper beats for sure so the annual bonanza on these beats thankfully looks unlikely though with the number of rods out yesterday it's not for the want of trying.!
