Came across an old Trout and salmon for July 2016 yesterday.  At the end of the month the rod catch was 1000 plus with 200 for July.

With a low stock of fish in the river ,any in the estuary at risk and with a poor grilse run likely any fish we have left and who have managed to survive these cruel condition will probably be in a poor state come September/October.    Would you still be happy fishing for them then.
There is a suggestion that we should seriously consider scrapping the rest of the season right NOW.
To do otherwise would only be an advantage to one thing, your own vanity.
