First water temps were such we shouldn't fish, now the return of the algae means you can't fish, at least on the lower river.
It's a diabolical situation that despite all the claims and success stories we are in a pretty desperate situation, at least the fish are.
May be a little cooler much of this week with perhaps a little rain but warming up again next week so the forecasters say.
Looks like we might have to wait until spawner bashing time in late Sept/October!!!

A hot bright day, started at dawn to try and beat the canoeist's and blazing sun...... two coloured fish seen jumping, alas no fish caught. Packed it in at 10.00am.......
WUF Note: there is a different arrangement for canoeing this stretch - canoeing takes place out of season and during spates
