Some more fish from yesterday;

Nick Hope reports the first fish from Caerwnon, both on a plug.  18lb hen well coloured and an 11lb fresher fish.
Cliff Hatton had his first salmon and the first from LLanthomas yesterday evening on a red Cats Whisker  14lbs perhaps)
Lower carrots and Luggsmouth.  Four fish between 9 and 12.5lbs to Glyn Court on a f/c
Wyesham  4 fish to Joe Cobley  11 -16lbs . Three on Mepps -one on fly.
Two fish for Yoshinori 18 and 13.  Lllangoed.  Spinning.
'Local angler' at it again supposedly.  Wouldn't record those fish or two others reported without names. Why the problem.

In spite of complaints of 'under rodding' by the Director it seems every man and his dog is fishing the WUF Erwood beats -even queuing up to fish a pool so I was informed.

29" fish from the Lady Pool  Glanwye for David Croft. thier first of the season??
10lb  fish for Paul Humphries, his first salmon , at Holme Lacy No 4.and one for Robin Hemmings also 10lbs spinning

Obviously a decent run of 2sw fish now throughout the river.   Levels are dropping quickly upstream  and clearing well on downstream beats although carrying a strange orangy brown stain so make the most of the conditions available now.  A hot day forecast with dry weather for up to ten days perhaps.!!

Many beat will welcome (well the fishery owners might) the barbel bonanza on Friday and over the weekend so choose your beat carefully
