A few really hot days forecast which will lead to another significant rise in river temperatures.

Not good conditions for fishing except perhaps very early or late.  Certainly not good conditions for salmon survival so perhaps think twice before fishing.
Certainly beats me why those who have caught enough fish not to bother about catching another one are still slinging flying Cs around under these conditions.

8pm.  NO FISH REPORTED SO FAR/

A group of us are booked in to fish the Goodrich court beat on Thursday this week.
How are conditions looking? We're a bit concerned about the coloured water reports. Could anyone advise us on whether it's worth the 4 hour drive.
Thanks in advance

WUF DIRECTOR REPLIED

"Should be good, well worth the journey. Midweek canoe hatch shouldn't be too bad although water temps will be climbing with this weather. Middle of next week it is forecast to cloud over and cool down."

Payed almost 50 quid to Salmon fish to find coarse anglers fishing the main pools like Orchard. Nothing against any fishers, but thought going on the upper reach's we we would avoid this. Obviously not.
River went dark brown as the heat of the day built up.
On the way home to the Midlands, Whitney looked like the Armada was afloat.
The Wye is a great river but sometimes I wonder if it's being looked after properl
