One fish from Wyeshams lovely fly water on a f/c to James hart yesterday 10lbs/
A similar 10lb fish from Wyebank to Clive Pegler -also on a f/c
The 27lb fish from Courtfield on Saturday.

A little rain about but just enough to settle the dust really and will have no appreciable effect. We may now need a couple of decent spates to move fish to the upper beats but its not looking likely in the short term.

Programme on salmon farming in Scotland on yesterdays Countryfile. Sea lice a serious problem to the fish farmers but still largely unacknowledged as the demise of wild salmon and sea trouy. Plans by Scottish Government to double production. A death knell for many other river/loch's perhaps.
There was an answer however, the land based close contained system which posed no threat to the environment whatsoever and had many other advantages too. I remember over a decade ago the late Tony Chattaway (old packington era0 who championed this idea of land based production but it never happened then. Perhaps it will now for the salmons sake.
