Looks like being a damp squib as far as catches are concerned over the Easter weekend.  With the river low and now very clear its pretty obvious we have very few fish and that's how it will remain until we get another spate.  All those moaning about lost days due to high water suddenly wan't some more - never happy are we.

Even the lower beats, still with decent running  water are seeing and catching even less with the Hereford to Ross seemingly the most likely to produce..
However no doubt many will be out having a 'fantastic, day on our great river , Fishing and casting but sadly with not much prospect of catching it seems.

LATEST  First fish of the season today for Stan Turner at Aramstone  15lbs on f/c
Wyesham.  16lb fish to Gordon Richards on fly.

You can always watch the canoeists having fun.  Last night at Glasbury   7pm.  where there is no right of navigation but a County council 'code or conduct' with various canoe outlets supposedly signed  up and an agreed launching time of  10am to 4pm.
The below guys from Black Mountain Adventure were having none of it however and despite knowing all the rules launched anyway.   NO ONE,  WUF, ANGLING TRUST,, NRA/NRW are willing to assist in solving this problem to their shame.  It's one of the reasons why I withdrew my subscription from AT especially when the Trust Director demanded an apology from me when I told him a few home truths regarding himself and his friends owning the beats above -who have NO canoes.   Needless to say he didn't get one  Ah well.
