Well thats it again for the time being.  As I've said before you can't make plans to fish the Wye even the night before.   With only moderate rain for most areas the upper catchment once again caught more thas its fair share and with the Elan valley dams once again overtopping a big spate is on its way down the Wye valley.   Lower beats may get away with a little fishing before the water arrives but basically that's it for a good few days at least.   very heavy colour indeed.

I see the fish from the Nyth was estimated at 18lbs.  WUF must know who caught it?  Why the secrecy I wonder.  I wouldn't record it personally without the anglers name, There were more than enough of those last season.
