Conditions improving all the time as the river slowly drops and clears for the middle river. Obviously very good on the upper river = now is the time to get a big springer so better get out there.  Little surprised there was only one yesterday.

A fish was lost on the beat above the one caught at Whitney yesterday.  Question is was it a salmon.  A week ago the same angler landed a big pike   45inches long  and yesterday caught the exact same fish again, obviously a big female . So with the pike active could he have suffered a 'bite off' as his spinner departed into the yonder.  we shall never know!!.

Latest.   There is no latest. Nothing reported today so far which is pretty disappointing.  Beginning to look as though quality is good but so far quantity is just not there.   Still time for numbers to hopefully improve however time will tell.
