Considerable discussion of the salmon fishing Forum regarding the outcome of our SNR scheme. A couple of people in particular trying to denigrate it and  the interim  report that has been produced.
Strange how they scour the evidence of a scheme run and financed by volunteers when they seem to accept WUFs claims for thier own work when producing NO evidence whatsoever.
|Mr Stephen Marsh smith, ex Director??? also puts hios spoke in now and again, see below.

With no evidence whatsoever WUF claim that habitat work is the main reason for the recovery of the Wye and you believe it....
"This is such a fictitious fabrication, even from the loony bin itself

1. We never claimed the recovery was due solely to habitat restoration
2. We have always claimed it is due to a combination of actions: net buyoffs, acid rain amelioration, and increased access to additional habitat as a result of weir removals and fish passes and reduction of farm diffuse pollution
3 We do have evidence that habitat restoration on its own has been part of the increase
4. You finally agree that there is recovery in the Wye. Keep taking those tablets

For many, it isn't too much of a worry which action produced the greater benefit: they are just glad it happened

Ward round over NK"

Seems to me that;

1. Yes they have.
2   Apart from the net buy offs they show no evidence that any of the other measures are effective in any way at all.
3.  Show us the evidence then -that will be a first.
4.  A part recovery true, as there has been elsewhere.

He then goes on to predict rod catches over the next four years ASSUMING NO LOW FLOW YEARS? , see below
