A couple of interesting points from the below Newsletter.
Mr Marsh Smith puts the the low numbers of salmon juveniles down to possibly, "reddS laid down in low water possibly getting washed out by later high flows"
Not so long ago he told us he did not believe in redd washout and that '"the fish knew where to spawn to avoid this."!!!
Other cause was high December temperatures and cites water temperatures of 10 degree. I don't believe that personally but there you go!!  Who took them and where I wonder.
